When I first heard that Paul McCartney was going to play with Nirvana (and Pat Smear from Meat Puppets/ Foo Fighters/ and Nirvana guest spots), I thought- ugh, you have to be kidding me?! Sir Paul singing ‘Smells Like Teen Spirit’ at 70 years old would be either raw comedy of the highest degree or embarrassingly bad. Well, then I saw them play at the Hurricane Sandy relief concert and I have to say- they really rocked! Here’s the studio version of their new song called ‘Cut Me Some Slack’…the live version should get released in the next couple of days I have been told.
